On race day it was extremely wet and for qualifying we had to borrow a heavily worn set of wet tyres. These were the only set available to us for the rest of the day so we were already at a disadvantage. I had little to no grip at the rear at all and struggled with balance throughout the day.
With this P11 in qualifying was all that could be achieved. In heat 1, I had a good start getting upto P8. Unfortunatly the race was cut short after I wasn't given any room on track while attempting an overtake. I ended up beached on the grass and could recover the Kart is it wouldnt restart.
In Heat 2, the race was pretty static and I maintained position. In heat 3 a spin resulted in droping a place resulting in 12th. In the final a competitor spun out which allowed me to gain a plce finishing 11th.
Overall, I felt confident I could be competitive in the series with fresh tyres.
